Formulates and implements statewide criminal justice policy through comprehensive planning and program funding. Its divisions include the Victim Services/Violence Prevention Division and the Public Safety/Crime Prevention Division.

Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP)

Under the California Department of Social Services (DSS), OCAP funds and coordinates local services that help strengthen and preserve families to prevent child abuse and neglect. OCAP also develops and distributes information to individuals and organizations.
